Chelsea attacker Willian believes his side have no one to fear in the Premier League title race and they are prepared to fight until the end to reclaim the English crown. The Blues have won the Premier League title in two of the previous four campaigns and they are now on the hunt for yet another league crown after making a strong start to the season.
As such, Willian feels the Blues have the opportunity to offer a strong challenge for the title this term with new manager Maurizio Sarri bringing the best out of the players at the west London club, he said: “We have no one to fear in the Premier League this season, we have a team who will fight until the end and I am sure we are going to do that. It’s been a very good start, we’ve played good football and it’s all credit to Sarri. The way he works, it is all about playing good football and he has given us more opportunities to show our quality more. I am not here to criticise other managers or how they worked because every manager has a different philosophy.”
Willian appeared on the way out of Stamford Bridge during “the summer after experiencing a strained relationship with Antonio Conte at the backend of the previous season. “However, he thereafter made a surprise U-turn over the decision after the Blues took “the step to recruit“ Maurizio Sarri to replace Conte at the helm.
Since then, the attacker has bagged a regular role in the Premier League but he has yet to showcase the form exhibited during the second half of the previous season. Willian has bagged just one goal from the nine Premier League matches he has featured this campaign. His current contract with the club expires in the summer of 2020.
