Mikel Arteta's Arsenal will be heading into the showdown against Everton on Saturday looking to bounce back from the draw against Southampton in midweek. Given their current form, the Gunners are already considered to be the underdogs ahead of the game, but they will be hoping to jump on their luck and earn a win.
The 1-1 draw against Southampton at the Emirates Stadium was a result that confirmed that they had ended a run of four straight home games all in losses.
Having found themselves in 15th place in the Premier League table after 13 games into the season, there is huge pressure mounting on Arteta to deliver positive results and he may end up facing the sack if he does not find a way to turn the tides in their favor pretty soon.
Here are the team news concerning Arsenal stars ahead of the fixture.
Thomas Partey
The Ghana international midfielder has not featured for the Gunners since getting injured against Tottenham some weeks ago.
The new summer recruit has since then missed games against Dundalk in the Europa League, and Premier League games against Burnley and Southampton. Although it is not yet certain when he will return, the former Atletico Madrid star has hinted that it is close.
Gabriel Martinelli
Martinelli has not played for Arsenal since June and has been missed dearly in the team. The Brazilian sensation is out with a knee injury and is currently making progress upon making a return. He played for the Arsenal U21's last week as he looks to make a comeback from his long layoff.
Grant Xhaka
The Switzerland midfielder will miss the game against Everton and will serve his match ban after getting red-carded in the game against Burnley.
Gabriel
Gabriel will also miss the game due to suspension after also getting sent off against Southampton.
