A day after the Premier League was urged to reconsider a legally binding promise the club’s owners made in 2021 that Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund was distinct from the nation’s government, the manager responded, “I have not sought assurances. To tell you the truth, I haven’t given it a lot of time,” Eddie Howe admitted during a press conference before Saturday’s visit to Etihad Stadium. I’ve seen and read the headlines but have not paid much attention to the specifics.” Continue reading Premier League Club’s Ownership Is under Scrutiny

Harry Kane’s Performance Is Back on Track

Harry Kane makes a happy comeback in the Premier League after the disappointment in the World Cup 2022. It reminded fans of how Kane is efficient to make the most of opportunities in front of the goal.
This brought respite and removed the pessimism that Antonio Conte, his manager had been feeling. It has also elevated the chances of his team. This was a win that was needed, especially when they lost out to Aston Villa on 1st January 2023.

In the game against Crystal Palace Harry Kane did two classic finishes in the center forward position. It showed his form and how he had shunned any effects of the disappointing finish that they had at the World Cup. For Tottenham, it is now a score of three goals in all three games in the Premier League. For Harry Kane, it was not easy since he bore the burden of the penalty kick he missed in the quarter-finals of the World Cup. There had been much criticism of his performance after that. The loss had resulted in England exiting the World Cup after a loss of 2-1 to France in the quarter-finals. Continue reading Harry Kane’s Performance Is Back on Track

WEST HAM RESUME TALKS WITH CHELSEA FOR DEFENDER EMERSON PALMIERI

According to Sky Sports, West Ham United have resumed talks with Chelsea to sign Emerson Palmieri. After a collapse in discussions recently, the Hammers are seemingly back in the chase, as David Moyes remains keen on a new left-back. Moyes is feeling the pressure of time running out in the transfer window as the West Ham United boss is yet to finalise his squad for the long season ahead. A new left-back is imperative, as it would allow the manager to shuffle his backline whenever necessary.

The Hammers are over-reliant on Aaron Cresswell to play the role, although the left-back is also a useful option in central defence. Moyes found that out last season when the club struggled to cope with defensive injuries and often used Cresswell centrally. That’s not the long-term plan for Moyes, who is seeking a cover for Cresswell as the Hammers compete on multiple fronts. Emerson Palmieri’s name emerged last week as the Hammers considered making a move for the Chelsea full-back. The London side also made an offer that somewhat came close to the player’s valuations, and talks were well advanced to bring the Italian international to West Ham.
