Antonio Conte Backs Diego Costa to Shine over Lukaku

Antonio Conte has backed striker Diego Costa to come good when he comes against his Premier league rival Romelu Lukaku in the weekend's game against Everton.

Both strikers have been fighting for top spot in the goalscoring charts, but Lukaku has been able to get an edge in race over the last few weeks due to a combination of good form and Costa being unable to produce the goods. The Spanish striker went through a goalscoring drought which saw him fail to score in five consecutive league games. However, he was able to end the drought in emphatic fashion after scoring twice against Southampton in 4-2 win.

These goals could not have come at a much better time for Chelsea, as the club need to win the remaining four matches in order to win the title. The club has a four-point advantage over Tottenham, but the blues have a distinct disadvantage of losing a healthy 10 point lead over the last four games. Defeats against Manchester United and Crystal Palace have seen the gap eroded to just four points.

Since Spurs have a better goal difference, this gap is effectively down to just three points. This weekend, Chelsea take on decides Sunday's game because that means we win the game.We are talking about two great strikers. But you know that Diego, for me, is the best striker in the world,” said Conte.
