HAS MARTIAL'S TIME AT UNITED COME TO AN END?

The summer transfer window is expected to be a busy one for English Premier League giants Manchester United even though they continue to remain quiet with their dealings at the moment. The Red Devils are expected to sign new players in order to close the gap between them and league winners Manchester City and they have also been tipped to let go of players who do not have the full ingredients needed for them to be genuine Manchester United players.

There have been a couple of names mentioned regarding the players the club want to sign, and names of likely departures have also been added to a separate list. Their priority signing at the moment is Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho and they have continued to chase the England international attacker after not being able to sign him two seasons ago as a result of the negative effect of the coronavirus pandemic.

Although they are now getting closer to the signing of Sancho than they did the last time, there are still concerns about whether they can still get the deal over the line as negotiations continue to be dragged beyond the expected duration. United striker Anthony Martial has come under scrutiny in recent times about his inconsistent performances for the club and the club's manager Olé Gunnar Solksjær has been tipped to sell the French attacker this summer.

Solksjær is a big fan of Martial but has continued to come under intense pressure to sell the striker as he wants a solid frontman that can promise him goals aplenty and enough to win titles. There are doubts about Martial being that sort of striker and that is the major reason for the rumors that have continued to link him with a move away from Old Trafford.
