EVERTON FACE HAMMERS THREAT FOR CORREA

Merseyside club Everton have a big threat from the Premier League in their bid to sign Joaquin Correa from Italian Serie A capital team Lazio this summer. Apart from Everton, London team West Ham United are also keen on signing the Lazio player as revealed by Italian news portal Italy24News who claimed that manager David Moyes wants to bring the Argentine winger to the London team this summer.

The interest of the Toffees in Correa was confirmed by Italian publication Calciomercatowhich said that the Toffees has the financial muscle to blow out any competition like the Hammers in the race for Correa. It was stated that Everton are ready to spend as much as £30m on the Lazio player.

West Ham United boss Moyes has struggled to add quality players to his team this summer though he still has some weeks left to prompt the club to move for his transfer targets. Moyes and the club will have to make a swift move for Correa if they want to sign him ahead of Everton. Moyes was previously the Everton manager for many years.

Moyes might need to bolster his squad with a winger like Correa after Felipe Anderson returned to Lazio this summer. The Brazilian international spent last season on loan at Portuguese team FC Porto. Another winger that could leave the Hammers during the current transfer window is Ukrainian international AndriyYarmolenko who was instrumental to Ukraine reaching the last eight at the Euro 2020 tournament.

Yarmolenko has seen his stock rise after a good outing at the Euro 2020 tournament and he has been linked with a move away from West Ham United this summer. He was a regular fixture on the Hammers bench last season though the player missed a significant part of the season as a result of injury.
